30 October 2007 8:00 am

For everything there is a season,
And a time for every matter under heaven;
A time to be born, and a time to die;

This morning, Elizabeth Ann Katsitsaro’roks Cook Christensen took a shallow breath and died.

The hole her departure has left in all of us will never be filled. She has been the kind of mother that books are written about. She has been the kind of wife that we pray our sons will receive. She has been a friend to so many; even to those who where difficult to love at times. She was an energetic and faithful missionary.

Our mother could not feel hate. She saw in others their goodness. She saw all people through God’s eyes and therefore saw their grandness and Godly potential.

Only God can give us the strength to live on with the hole her departure has left in us. It will never be filled – not until we embrace again in our next life.

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 3rd at 10:00 am (viewing) and 11:30 am (services).

I send my condelences. I still remeber the song your mother wrote for girls camp one year. It was so beautiful, I still remember the melody. I believe the lyrics went something like, "Camp Aroha's my cry, I'm reaching for the sky. I know who I am and where I'm going."

I wish time and circumstances had allowed one last visit with her. I can not imagine what it would be like to see my God and Savior again. I don't doubt that her joy is full, being able to embrace her mother and father, knowing you will all be together soon.

Our love and prayers to your family.

My heart is with you at this time of sorrow. There will always be an empty spot, that no one else can fill, in the hearts and souls of all who know and love Liz. She was happy, loving, caring, accepting and understanding. She was a support system for many of us. No matter the circumstances in her own life, if she was needed, she was there. I admired Liz with all her talent, energy, and enthusiasm. She will be greatly missed.
My love and prayers are with your family,
Arlene Harker

Liz has an extraordinary family, and we appreciate your remarkable website keeping us informed. The unthinkable has happened---her illness and her passing both-- and we pray that you will all have great comfort and peace until you are with her again eternally. She was always the first person I sought out at mission conferences--I couldn't get enough of being with her. We send our love to all of you. We mourn with you and pray for you all. With love from Elder and sister Blunck in Tbilisi, Georgia

So many beautiful memories of Liz, she will truly be missed. I too remember Liz during the young women days and how she patiently spent countless hours with us. I will never forget the love that always radiated from her. What a lucky lady to have such a wonderful family. We will keep you in our prayers.

I was so sad to hear the news. Sister Christensen was my beehive advisor. She was an amazing woman who always had such spunk and I loved her dearly. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Our Deepest Condolences to the whole family and especially to Herb. In such a short period of time our family came to love her so much as our own relative (she actually is on my mother's: Melkumyans side). I really wish we could be there for the funeral. Please do send our love and support to all of you and thank you for the amazing experiences of her last days we were able to share with her through this blog.
Love,
Sevak and Christina Tsaturyan
